Dear Guest,
As we step into a new year, many of us carry a mix of hope, expectation, and uncertainty about what lies ahead. For some, this season brings energy and fresh vision; for others, the weight of recent months—or the quiet of winter—makes it feel more like a time of pausing, resting, or simply getting through. Wherever you find yourself, this can be a gentle moment to look forward and consider your hopes for the days, weeks, and months ahead.
There is never a wrong time to deepen our faith and our relationship with God, but the beginning of a year offers a natural space to reflect: to notice where we are now, to give thanks for what has been, and to prayerfully consider where God may be leading next.
Best wishes,
The Equip Hub Team

Course Fees
At Equip Hub, we charge a standard fee of £5 per session for lay training and learning. This income makes a small but helpful contribution towards the overall cost of the courses we offer. However, we never want people to feel excluded from Equip Hub because they can’t afford it. If the only reason that you decide not to take part in something that would resource your faith and ministry is the cost, please contact Rob.Harrison@Coventry.Anglican.org (confidentially) and we will arrange for you to register for free.

‘Eco’ themes in the Bible
The fragile ecology of our planet has been a matter of concern and political debate for some years. Many churches and Christian people have put their concerns into action, in a variety of ways. But what does the Bible have to say on this subject?
This five week discussion-based series on Zoom will explore a range of Biblical insights and perspectives to enable you to inform your own decisions. There will be contributions from experts, including an organic farmer, an ecologist and a Christian psychologist.
5 weekly sessions from Tuesday 6th January – 3rd February, 7:30pm – 9pm on Zoom

In a Divided World, What Can I Do?
Today the world seems more and more divided. This is true at a global level, but also in our communities and even in our churches. What can we do as Christians in these challenging times to promote understanding and bring about positive change?
This five week module uses our own Coventry Story, as well as other stories of division and reconciliation, to help us think about how we might respond to the challenges of today. Using conversations, art, practical workshops and the Bible, we will explore how to resist the polarisation that is happening in so many of our shared spaces, which working for justice and peace.
This course will be led by Kate Massey and the Cathedral team.
Tuesdays 13th January – 10th February, 7pm – 9pm at Coventry Cathedral

Children and Church
Children are not just the future of the church, they are also the present church. For children in our church (and those who haven’t come along yet), it is really important to consider how they are part of the life of the whole church.
During this session we will cover key areas such as having relevant (and manageable) worship provision, the importance of rhythms, spaces for their voice to be heard and opportunities for relationship. These will also be discussed from your starting point so come as you are to learn and share.
This session will be led by Anna Naish.

This session will explore the use of liturgy, both in its formal Anglican sense and in a broader perspective. We will consider how established liturgies can be a living expression of Christian worship, and explore techniques for developing bespoke liturgies for particular contexts.
This session will be led by Rob Harrison, Matt Ford & Philip Morton.

Faith is about our whole lives not just about Sunday mornings at church or Tuesday nights at Messy church. Yet, parents, grandparents and other carers do not always feel confident in talking about faith, praying or worshipping together.
This session will help you think about your ministry space (church, schools, community etc) and how you can help families to take faith home, to share with one another and to grow in confidence. There may be big things to consider, but often small actions and changes can have a big impact!
This session will be led by Anna Naish

As we grow and age we face different joys and challenges at various stages of our lives. Many of these things are the same regardless of the generation you were born into. From learning to talk, to teenage independence, from first job to retirement. But these shared stages are impacted by the time you are living in…being 40 in 2025 is different to being 40 in 1995.
This course, which will be led by Anna Naish, helps us to think about the different stages of life today (and to reflect on our own experiences).
There are two sessions, each focussing on different stages. You can register for one or both sessions.
- Saturday 7th March – Childhood into early adulthood
- Saturday 25th April – Adulthood
Time: 10am-4pm (please bring your own lunch)
Venue: St Paul’s Church, Foleshill Road, Coventry, CV6 5AJ

his course focuses on three habits: Be Curious; Be Present; and Reimagine. In the sessions it does this by reflecting on biblical stories, a recent story and creating space to include how our own story and experiences shape our thinking. These habits can have an impact on our everyday lives & relationships and affect how we relate to people and the life of the communities that we’re part off.
This course will be led by Anna Naish.
Wednesday 15th April – Wednesday 20th May 2026, 7:30pm – 9pm, Zoom and Online
