Equip Update

Dear , The wild variety within the harvest season has got me thinking about how different and varied our churches are. We are made up of different traditions, with different expressions of worship, there is an abundance of life to be experienced. But Jesus also promises us a varied harvest of new disciples. A glorious gathering of people from all the nations; old and young, rich and poor, from every part of our communities – and we are invited to join in as ‘labourers in the vineyard’ and gather people in. One of the big things in the diary in October in the ‘New Worshipping Communities Taster Day.’ This will be an opportunity to explore some tried and tested ways of gathering and journeying with new disciples. New Worshipping Communities Taster Day If you are a lay leader, member of the clergy, or anyone who is passionate about seeing the church grow, then Archdeacon Barry would like to invite you to The ‘New Worshipping Communities Taster Day’. This interactive event will showcase worship sessions in a variety of styles, opportunities to connect with other like-minded leaders and times to reflect on our personal call to mission. The Diocese of Coventry has set itself the target of establishing 150 New Worshipping Communities by 2030. Much of this work will be a part of the life of the whole church family, so in recognition of this, we have created an event that everyone can engage with – both young and old, leaders and their families. All ages are welcome and there will be plenty of fun (and food) for everyone. Saturday 21st October 2023, 10am – 4:15pm St John’s, Westwood Tickets are £10, but kids are free!  Register here
