Dear Guest,
You will notice we have less on in December. It’s not an accident, we deliberately keep it quieter. There’s plenty beginning in January to have a look at though!
I wonder what Advent looks like for you? I know it is a time of preparation and reflection and yet so often our churches, work and homes become incredibly busy. We’d love to encourage you to take some time over the next few weeks to pause and reflect on what the Christmas story means for you this year! You might reflect on walks, in conversation, at church, using Watching and Waiting (weekly reflections from Bishop Sophie) or dipping into our Equip Advent calendar (see below). Do we have space to listen for what God is saying to us this Advent?
Best wishes,
The Equip Hub Team

Come and explore some key environmental themes grounded in scripture and the bible (or through a biblical lens?) Join our panel conversation and weekly special guests with space to do your own thinking and discussion.

In a Divided World, What Can I Do?
Today the world seems more and more divided. This is true at a global level, but also in our communities and even in our churches. What can we do as Christians in these challenging times to promote understanding and bring about positive change?
This five week module uses our own Coventry Story, as well as other stories of division and reconciliation, to help us think about how we might respond to the challenges of today. Using conversations, art, practical workshops and the Bible, we will explore how to resist the polarisation that is happening in so many of our shared spaces, which working for justice and peace.
This course will be led by Kate Massey and the Cathedral team.
Tuesdays 13th January – 10th February, 7pm – 9pm at Coventry Cathedral

Children are not just the future of the church, they are also the present church. For children in our church (and those who haven’t come along yet), it is really important to consider how they are part of the life of the whole church.
During this session we will cover key areas such as having relevant (and manageable) worship provision, the importance of rhythms, spaces for their voice to be heard and opportunities for relationship. These will also be discussed from your starting point so come as you are to learn and share.
This session will be led by Anna Naish.
Thursday 15th January 2026, 7pm – 9pm, Nuneaton

Faith is about our whole lives not just about Sunday mornings at church or Tuesday nights at Messy church. Yet, parents, grandparents and other carers do not always feel confident in talking about faith, praying or worshipping together.
This session will help you think about your ministry space (church, schools, community etc) and how you can help families to take faith home, to share with one another and to grow in confidence. There may be big things to consider, but often small actions and changes can have a big impact!
This session will be led by Anna Naish

As we grow and age we face different joys and challenges at various stages of our lives. Many of these things are the same regardless of the generation you were born into. From learning to talk, to teenage independence, from first job to retirement. But these shared stages are impacted by the time you are living in…being 40 in 2025 is different to being 40 in 1995.
This course, which will be led by Anna Naish, helps us to think about the different stages of life today (and to reflect on our own experiences).
There are two sessions, each focussing on different stages. You can register for one or both sessions.

- Saturday 25th April – Adulthood

his course focuses on three habits: Be Curious; Be Present; and Reimagine. In the sessions it does this by reflecting on biblical stories, a recent story and creating space to include how our own story and experiences shape our thinking. These habits can have an impact on our everyday lives & relationships and affect how we relate to people and the life of the communities that we’re part off.
This course will be led by Anna Naish.
Wednesday 15th April – Wednesday 20th May 2026, 7:30pm – 9pm, Zoom and Online
