Dear Guest,
Today, a new Bishop was announced. Having heard Bishop Sophie speak passionately about lay ministry, I was personally excited by this news and all that she will bring. As I now sit planning a variety of training events this month I am reminded that just as our new Bishop will come with their unique giftings, so we serve our churches and communities with our own unique giftings.
The joy of our faith is that each one of us helps to make up the body of Christ, everyone together. I wonder where your giftings are? How you use them for God? And if there are opportunities for you to explore or grow in your gifts? Perhaps something here will help you to do that.

Bereavement Ministry Pathway
Everyone on this Pathway is able to learn and reflect on what grief is and how we can sit with people and support them at a very vulnerable time of their lives. It will encourage us to think about ourselves and what we personally bring to this ministry.
There are two routes on this Pathway
Bereavement visiting creates space to explore the differences that grief brings in how we support people and how we might develop personal support for an emotional role.
Taking funerals has specific sessions around planning and leading a funeral with the family & friends of the person who has died. (In order to take funerals there are further permissions needed, ask for details)
