Facing Death Reflecting on various biblical stories of death and grief. We will consider how the reality of suffering is considered both before, and in the light of, Jesus’ death and resurrection. This session does not aim to solve the tension between suffering and an all-knowing and all loving God. Using Place & Space Explore ways in which the physical space in which worship takes place influence’s people’s experience and engagement. Tuesday 18th June, 7-9pm St. Paul’s, Leamington Eco-focused Mission Explore central Gospel themes that resonate with the green agenda and discuss practical ways that environmental awareness might lead to missional communities. For Clergy and Lay Leaders Tuesday 25th June, 10am – 12.30pm St Thomas’, Keresley Family Struggles Exploring Bible stories that involve a wide range of dysfunctional family dynamics surrounding key characters in the Bible (including struggles with children, parents, spouses, siblings and extended families). We will consider how these stories compare with the moral ideals of Biblical teaching, and the part that God plays in each story. Wednesday 26th June, 7:30pm – 9pm On Zoom P.L.F. A Theology of Disagreement As the Church navigates another phase of sharp disagreement, this session will consider the narratives of previous disagreements and note underlying theological themes that may help us to navigate the current tensions. Wednesday 3rd July, 10am – 12.30pm, St Michael’s House, Coventry For Clergy and Lay Leaders Understanding Conflict Situations The session will enable you to identify potentially damaging conflict at an early stage and offer practical insights into how to keep conflicts from escalating. Saturday 13th July, 10am to 4pm On Zoom Everybody Talking Jesus Join us as we explore the latest Talking Jesus research, explore how this can help us communicate to good news of Jesus clearly and effectively and learn some simple tools to help us share our faith in a way that is natural and clear.
