This booking page for this specific topic. It is part of a series called ‘Themes of suffering in the Bible’. If you are interested in the whole series click here.

What is it?

Using the lens of liberation theology to open up stories of oppression where people are mistreated in the Bible. They may be viewed as ‘lesser’ because of who they are or due to circumstances beyond their control, and suffer injustice as a result.

This session does not aim to solve the tension between suffering and an all-knowing and all loving God. But it aims to help us dig deeper into biblical stories of suffering and seek God within them and our wider world.

This session will be led by Revd Jeremy Beven, Curate at St. Barbara’s, Coventry
