What is it?

An introduction to key theological themes and debates relating to three foundational pillars of Christian doctrine: Atonement, Covenant and Trinity.

One of these core topics will be addressed each term in an annual cycle. First, there will be a selection of items to read, watch or listen to, then there will be an in-person seminar with a presentation followed by discussion/debate, after which participants will work on an assignment.

Spring term – Atonement Theology

Summer term – The Doctrine of the Trinity & Christology

Autumn term – Covenant Theology & Spirit

The session will be led by Rob Harrison and Beren Hartless.

Who is it for?

This programme is designed primarily for those who are in discernment/training for Licensed Lay Ministry (as a required part of their training) and for those in discernment towards Ordination (as a valuable introduction to academic theology).
