A practical opportunity to participate, and contribute to the dialogue – How can healthier churches better support and serve their congregations and communities?”

Rev Clive Hicks, Healthy Churches Development Enabler, writes,

“At the start of the New Year, I will be facilitating conversations around a number of significant themes, with clergy and laity,

Rewilding the church – highlighting its natural advantages. We will look at natural church development in the light of some recent learning about ‘rewilding’ in the UK, and explore possible applications to church life and health.

Refreshing insights from the Natural Church Development (NCD) movement.  Know-how in the NCD discipleship resources deserves revisiting – especially Passionate Spirituality; how this helps address the diversity within your church better.

Case studies from churches in and beyond Coventry Diocese.  The pandemic of course impacted the scope of churches to undertake NCD surveys, but fruitful work is still going on within the Diocese and in a variety of traditions.

Reimagining church in the 2020s – the search for healing and a fresh identity.  How can the Letters to the Seven Churches of Revelation help you structure your agenda for healthy church this year?”
