| The Clewer Initiative Safe Car Wash App |
Since its launch in 2018, the Safe Car Wash App has had 31,000 downloads with 7,800 reports submitted from across the UK. The data gathered from the reporting has been crucial in building a clear picture of the hand car wash sector – how many there are, where they are, and where modern slavery and exploitation might be happening.
The app has recently been redeveloped and is now new and improved.
The enhancements will help users to more easily report exploitative and non-compliant car washes, identify potential victims of modern slavery, and give partner organisations the information and data required to address criminal activity.
