| Hand to Hand: Packing food to feed the hungry |
The charity, Feed the Hungry, has launched Hand to Hand food packing events to encourage churches to re-engage in world mission.
Food packing is very simple; teams of volunteers work together on a food production line to bag, weigh, seal and box packets of dried food. A team of 60 volunteers could pack 10,000 meals within the space of a couple of hours.
After packing the meals are then sealed, boxed, palletised and sent by freight to one of Feed The Hungry’s trusted partners around the world. The project hopes to provide vital food to those who need it, but also create an opportunity to build relationships within congregations and communities, while engaging in world mission.

| Book Launch - Loving the Enemy: building bridges in a time of war - Saturday 6th November, 7:15pm |
On 6th November Andy March, Vicar of St Christopher’s Allesley Park, releases his debut publication, Loving the Enemy – building bridges in a time of war, which tells the true story of his grandparents, Englishman Fred Clayton and German woman Rike Büttner-Wobst from Dresden, who rose above extreme suffering and defied the hatred and enmity of warring nations to build an enduring bridge of love.
Andy March was inspired to write “loving the enemy” after visiting Dresden with a group from Coventry in February 2015. Bishop of Coventry, Christopher Cocksworth, was also part of that trip and has written the foreword for Loving the Enemy.
