What is it?
Conversations can be difficult for all kinds of reasons. They are complicated more when there is tension, potential disagreement or clear disagreement.
This session will help you explore how we approach disagreement personally and how that may affect the conversation. We will also look at some key thoughts to keep in mind in the midst of a difficult conversation to engage in a helpful and honest way.
This session is designed for anyone; you might have a specific role in your church, work or community where there is potential for disagreement, or you may be thinking more personally of friends, family and people you come across in your day-to-day life.
This is a core training session for those on the Pastoral and Bereavement Pathway. For more details click here.
This session is happening on the same date as ‘Active listening’. Active listening will be in the morning and Difficult conversations will be in the afternoon – you can register to attend one or both.
This session will be led by Anna Naish.

Car Sharing
We really encourage car sharing both for the environment and because we are aware not everyone has easy access to a car or public transport. There are a couple of questions in the booking form for those that would like to offer and/or receive lifts so we can connect people who are close to one another. Please note it asks for the first 3 or 4 letters of your postcode (e.g. CV6, CV12) so we can put you in touch with relevant people.
