What is it?
This session is repeated across the year. Click here for other dates.
Has anyone ever made an assumption about you? Have you ever made an assumption about someone else? Most likely the answer to both is yes…and those are just the ones we’ve noticed.
Below our principles, priorities and preferences lies a layer of assumptions and expectations that influence our actions without us being aware it is happening. It is a natural part of being human.
We will explore why we all make assumptions and how our unconscious biases affect our actions. We will consider how we can become more conscious of our personal collection of biases and how we can be more aware of other people’s unconsidered assumptions.
The aim of this session is to get us thinking and reflecting on ourselves, our churches and the communities we are a part of.
This session will be led by Anna Naish and Neil Masih.
Who is it for?
This is a core training session for anyone on a Pathway. For more details click here.
Event information
Date: Thursday 12th June 2025
Time: 7pm – 9:30pm
Venue: St Paul’s Church, Church Road, Stockingford, Nuneaton, CV10 8LG
Car sharing
We really encourage car sharing both for the environment and because we are aware not everyone has easy access to a car or public transport. There are a couple of questions in the booking form for those that would like to offer and/or receive lifts so we can connect people who are close to one another. Please note it asks for the first 3 or 4 letters of your postcode (e.g. CV6, CV12) so we can put you in touch with relevant people.
