Planting New Worshipping Communities in Schools This training session will help you to explore the possibility of starting a new worshipping community in a school. We will go through the steps involved and the lessons we have learned. There will be a possibility for those interested to book a visit to a school based new worshipping community and for participants to be provided with ongoing support through the Bedworth Mission Hub. Idiot’s Guide to the Bible It’s not too late to join this light and accessible overview of the content and structure of the Bible, with simple guidance on how to enjoy it and understand it. Rob Harrison, who has written various novels and short stories based on Bible stories, will lead a guided tour of the highlights (and some occasional lowlights) of the Bible’s story and literature. This course is not only for Bible beginners; it is for anyone who would enjoy a fresh perspective on the world’s most famous book. This course will take place on 5 Mondays, 24th June till 22nd July. Maintenance matters Good building maintenance reduces repair costs, and is crucial in keeping your church dry and warm(er). This free online training session, which will take around 30 minutes, is specially designed for churchwardens, and others tasked with the care of their church building. It aims to highlight why maintenance is so important, help you to spot common issues (and then tackle them), and how to develop an effective maintenance plan for your building.   Read more

A Theology of Disagreement As the Church navigates another phase of sharp disagreement, this session will consider the narratives of previous disagreements and note underlying theological themes that may help us to navigate the current tensions. Wednesday 3rd July, 10am – 12.30pm, St Michael’s House, Coventry For Clergy and Lay Leaders Called: Mission, Ministry & Me This course provides a space to think together about what it means to be called by God, to take our place in the mission of God, and to give opportunity to explore both lay and ordained Christian vocation. Saturday 13th July, 10am to 4pm On Zoom Everybody Talking Jesus Join us as we explore the latest Talking Jesus research, explore how this can help us communicate to good news of Jesus clearly and effectively and learn some simple tools to help us share our faith in a way that is natural and clear. In person, 7:30pm – 9pm Multiple dates available A Welcoming Welcome Exploring the practical and relational things we can do to be increasingly welcoming when people come into church. Wednesday 11th September,  7:30pm – 9:30pm All Saints, Bedworth Understanding Grief A five week course to help us explore the variety of things we grieve for, understand the grieving process and it’s complexity and what can be helpful to those who are grieving. Mondays 16th  September – 14th October, 7-9pm St. James Church, Whitley A future for Rural Churches A day to be inspired, as we imagine together a brighter future for our rural churches. During the day, there will be time to connect with and be inspired by others who are committed to the ministry of their rural churches.
