St Edmund’s Shipston brings worship into care homes St Edmund’s Church in Shipston run two fresh expressions of church in local care homes. Teams from the church go into the care homes once a month to deliver a worship service to the residents. The two teams from St Edmund’s are led by curate, the Revd Hannah Gregory and reader, Alison Tomkinson. On the first Thursday and Friday of the month they go into two different care homes and lead ecumenical worship. About twenty people come along in each care home, which doubles the church’s weekly attendance. Read more

The Diocesan Mission Fund receives its 250th application We are delighted to share the news that the Diocesan Mission Fund has just received its 250th application. The Diocesan Mission Fund (DMF) was created by the Diocesan Synod to provide resources to parishes and deaneries for new projects which aim to make new disciples. The first application was received in 2010 for a project called ‘God Stuff!’ by the Draycote Group and a whole host of projects have been supported over the last 13 years – from youth workers, to welcome packs and printers, from live streaming technology in the pandemic to muddy church, café equipment and tables for playgroups as parishes rebuild Read more
